The Gauteng Walk is a flagship initiative by Mzansi Act Now, designed to promote men’s health, challenging harmful gender norms, and creating safe and inclusive spaces. The event serves as a national call to action – uniting South Africans from all walks of life to walk and run together in solidarity, reflection, and renewal.

Our vision is to build a united and compassionate society where men, women and youth lead in promoting health, respect, and safety for all.

Mission: The Gauteng Walk exists to mobilise men, women, youth, and communities across South Africa in a powerful movement that:

Promotes physical and mental health.
Challenges and changes harmful gender norms.
Inspires collective responsibility through walking and running together in solidarity.

MZANSI ACT NOW, is a movement founded by dedicated South African men who have united on a national level to combat GBVF, champion female and youth development as well as men’s health and wellness in South Africa.

Through grass-root community initiatives, strategic youth campaigns as well as educational drives, we strive to create safer environments and raise awareness that encourages behavioural change among South Africans. Initiated by a group of passionate volunteers, Act Now has evolved over the past five years into a well-structured organization that continuously conceptualise, initiate and execute national initiatives with impact.

Joined by the corporate sector, government sector and broader civil society Act Now believes that every act counts, and every life matters
